Vyke AS Announces Software Upgrade

Mobile handsets users which have their VoIP functionality intentionally crippled by mobile operators can now rejoice as Vyke AS a wholly owned subsidiary of Vyke is expected to release their solution to this in the fourth quarter of 2007. This solution is in the form of Vyke Mobile IP, a software upgrade that will restore full VoIP functionality to your mobile phone.

Vyke which prides itself of empowering users by allowing them to choose for themselves their communication service has also revealed an agreement with The Cloud Networks Limited, to provide Vyke users the ability of accessing mobile VoIP services across a total of 9000 plus hotspots over 16 large area, metropolitan network.

All these is in response to incumbent mobile network operators who attempt to discourage their subscribers from using mobile VoIP services by removing VoIP capabilities from the mobile handset they sell and introducing restrictive contract terms to bar users from using their network for VoIP or third party peer-to-peer messaging clients.
