Vonage Now Offers Full 911 Services Coverage

Vonage now offers all it’s customers full E911 services in the United States. To comply with regulations Vonage forwards the call to the local dispatch center and then forwards your address and phone number. Each time a caller dials 911 with an emergency the dispatcher will see the customer’s address and contact details. If 911 facilities are not available in the area then trained staff manning the Vonage national 911 emergency response center will answer and deal with the call.

Recently the FCC banned companies who were not E911-complient from adding new subscribers in areas where they did not offer proper handling of 911 calls.
