Vonage Expands E911 Service In Vermont

Vonage has expanded it’s E911 service to a further 5 counties in Vermont. The expanded service now covers the counties of Orleans, Rutland, Windham, Chittenden, Lamoille, Windsor.

Vonage has recently becoe complient with FCC regulations where VoIP providers had to make caller details and location available to emergency services dispatchers. Vonage and other VoIP providers in the USA were threatened with a ban on acquiring new subscribers if they did not meet the standards set by the FCC.

The announcement of the expansion brings to 6 the number of counties in Vermont with E911 FCC-complient services.
