New Skype For Mac 2.0 Beta - With Video-Calling
Mac users can now make video calls with Skype for Mac 2.0 beta.
VoIP Collaborations: Intel and Siemens
Two tech giants, Intel and Siemens, plan to fund research for wireless networks and unfied communications, which includes VoIP projects. The results of their joint research will also be jointly marketed, but their focus will be enterprise and various service providers such as financial services. VoIP Acquisitions: Stratus Emergent
Stratus Technologies finally officially announced their US$10 M August acquisition of Emergent Network Solutions. Stratus wanted to add VoIP infrastructure software to its offering of mobile convergence tech. They plan to use this purchase for VoIP, video and data purposes. [via eWeek]
