Webacall - Web Calling With A Difference
Webacall is a new VoIP service that offers several types of Internet calling: phone2phone like Jajah, Hullo and others; pc2pc or pc2phone using their free soft client (X-lite); or phone2phone using a SIP adapter. They also offer per-second billing, which no other VoIP provider, as far as I know, offers. I’ll have more details in the near future.

Articulation: VoIP For Your Palm PDA
Got a Palm or other PDA running the PalmOS operating system? Want to run VoIP on it? A number of companies are already offering mobile VoIP, but some Palm devices have trouble depending on the type of cellular network you are running. Hampton Software UK offers Articulation for PalmOS 5.x PDAs, which supposedly works with “most providers”. [Source: Phone Mag]

The software, which follows the open standard SIP, is not free, and they suggest you try it first with your provider. You should note that once you install the Palm .PRC program on your PDA, you will have to provide server/ domain and account info for your VoIP provider. I’ve never used this method of mobile VoIP software so I cannot comment further on how the software functions. Check Hampton’s web site for further details. If I get more details, I’ll post here in the future.
