VoIP Popularity In Malaysia

Malaysian VoIP-related business is forecast to generate approximately $399 million in revenue by the end of 2010, almost twice the revenue generated by VoIP services in 2005. VoIP plays a central role in Malaysia’s 5 year plan to boost the availability of information, multimedia services and communications to it’s citizens.

In a statement to the media, a senior Malaysian official said that VoIP has begun to gain significant traction in the Malaysian telecomms market because of the major savings it offers to homes and businesses.
