The Cloud Offer Hot-spot WiFi Access For Skype Calls

Just recently we covered the new wifi handset from SMC, and it seems like they’ve been busy.  Today they announced a deal with pan-Euro wifi hot-spot provider The Cloud forming the “first mobile roaming Skype service on WiFi handsets with access to over 8,500 public WiFi hotspots across Europe.”

Users will pay £6.99 per month for the service, which will launch in the UK in October with a planned rollout across the rest of the network into Q1 2007.  The Cloud have been developing their wifi hot-spot network throughout the UK and Europe at speed.
