Tesco VoIP Details

Tesco have announced that they are to get into the VoIP marketplace with their very own own VoIP service. And there chief target, none other than Skype.

Customers will buy a £19.97 starter pack that includes a VoIP phone and drivers on a CD. Users simply plug the phone into their computer’s USB port and make calls as usual. Tesco VoIP will come with voicemail as standard and will have a number assigned for incoming calls from others. Calls will be priced as follows:

• 2p per minute to international landlines & mobile phones.
• 10p per minute to UK mobile phones.
• Free to other Tesco VoIP users.

The Tesco VoIP service comes with an included £5 worth of calls. Users can top up their call credit much like they already do with a pay-as-you-go mobile phone.
