T-Mobile Hybrid WiFi Mobile Service

T-Mobile have just launched their hybrid WiFi / mobile service call T-Mobile Hoptspot @ Home.  It’s going to be available to customers first in Seattle, but if all goes well they’ll probably roll it out elsewhere.

The service is based on UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) and will work at launch with (only) the Samsung T709 and Nokia 6136.  T-Mobile have been warming to the idea of their customers using VoIP services, it looks like they’ve had a profound change of heart.
