SunRocket Stops Business
With the most number of users after Vonage, SunRocket has put an end to its VoIP services. The company started to show cracks some weeks earlier when it refrained from taking further service orders altogether.
If you visit the company’s website, it will still show the “3 months free” promotional offer as well as the persuading advertisements to change from Vonage but the company’s customer services provide no detailed information except for a taped message that states that SunRocket is no longer in service. SunRocket has not although made any official declarations yet.
While SunRocket lay in dire straits, the other rival VoIP service providers including Vonage have already put their vulture caps on to plunge into SunRocket’s fresh corpse. Jason Talley, CEO of Nuvio has stated that he is excited at the fact that SunRocket’s former clients are beginning to seek Nuvio’s services. Since no such customer support agreement has been established between the two companies, Nuvio’s comments might, to some extent, be misguiding to some of the SunRocket customers.
Vonage is trying to come up with a way so that the former SunRocket clients can easily switch their existing phone numbers to Vonage and they are also including a 2-month free service with their offer.
