SMC WSKP100 Skype WiFi Phone

SMC have launched their own WiFi Skype phone, model number WSKP100.  Like other WiFi Skype phones recently launched (Netgear SPH101) the WSKP100 uses WiFi to make calls via SkypeOut and receive calls through SkypeIn.  It is 802.11b/g complient, and as it operates on the 2.4Ghz bandwidth it won’t interfere with any DECT phones you might have nearby.

It has a 1.8″ color LCD screen to display your contact list, has 50 hours of standby time and 3 hours talk time.  Priced at $235.

Does it compare well with it’s peers?  We don’t know much about this phone, but it is up against some pretty stiff competition in terms of design and pricing.  Afterall, the much hyped SPH101 is in the same price bracket.
