The Polycom Communicator is a Skype-certified hands-free device that utilizes the same technology found in their high-end line of SoundStation conference phones. So you can safely say that if you did buy one of these, the sound quality would be very good indeed.

It is designed for the business user where you can take calls and continue to work, without having a headset or handset. However, there are big drawbacks with any device where others can hear conversations, so if you want / need more privacy you can plug in some earphones.
