Pics: Nintendo DS VoIP Headset
Here’s something for all your game phreaks out there. Nintendo have released a VoIP headset for their highly successful DS portable gaming device. Details are a bit thin on the ground, but presumably they will work with a service called Nintendo DSpeak, which uses the wireless networking capability built into the DS to make calls.
Early reports from a sneak peak in March ‘05 of the DSpeak system revealed one nifty feature that sets this apart from every other VoIP service. Not even Skype can beat this one. When talking, a little Mario or Wario animation comes up on the DS complete with a moving mouth. 
The DS VoIP Headset is on sale now for ¥1,200 or ~$10.
