Panasonic GlobaRange Dual-mode VoIP / PSTN Phone
Panasonic are the latest company to jump on the IP bandwagon with the release of their GlobaRange collection of dual-mode phones offering Voice over IP and PSDN connectivity.
The GlobaRange will consist of 2 models; the BB-GT1500B handset priced at $99.95 and the BB-GT1540 priced at $129.95 with digital answering system and dual key-pads.
While not a Skype phone, the GlobaRange phones will be similar to the Netgear SPH200D and IPEVO Solo.1 in that it does not require a connection to a computer. The base station provided will connect via Ethernet to a broadband router and also via RJ11 to your landline.
Other features include call waiting, caller ID, backlit LCD screen and Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) in order to improve security. You can also expand up to 8 handsets from the one base station.
