LiteScape Technologies gets Japanese VoIP foothold

LiteScape Technologies, a company specializing in merged data and voice networks, announced a major distribution deal with Sumisho Computer Systems Corporation (SCS) that will see their products marketed and distributed to Japan’s growing VoIP marketplace.

Japanese businesses are increasingly adopting integrated voice and data networks taking advantage of the simpler processes they afford for everyday business. SCS, who will also be in charge of deploying LiteScape’s enterprise applications within Japan, believe that their software will further accelerate the uptake of VoIP in Japan.

“In Japan, we see an accelerated adoption of IP devices and companies are looking to take advantage of their new infrastructure with practical and innovative software applications that enhance and improve everyday business and communications processes. LiteScape has created a critical set of applications that we believe will be an important driver of VoIP adoption in the enterprise,” said Yuji Iino, general manager of VoIP sales division at SCS.

In a country whose economy is so heavily built around export to foreign markets one would only assume that there would be significant cost savings in terms of telecommunications for businesses trading globally via the adoption of Voice over IP technologies.
