Large Companies Don’t Understand VoIP
As VoIP technology make waves, more companies are taking look at VoIP to replace their current telephone system. However, many companies are scared by the technical jargon and believe they do not have the inhouse skills to successfully migrate to a VoIP solution without damaging their business.
In a recent report by BT and Cisco, approximately 15% of companies interviewed used managed services for IP telephony, with 40% considering it. 1/3 of European companies have already made the change to converged voice and data networks, with 3/4 of European companies predicted to make the change by 2008.
The report states that most companies view integrated voice and data networking as a way to increase efficiency rather than decrease costs. BT and Cisco conducted the interviews across 9 different European countries.
