Keyspan VP-24A Cordless VoIP Phone
Keyspan have just released a new cordless VoIP phone that uses Skype priced at $79. Now while this might sound like nothing special for a lot of you, this should peak the interest of many Skype-using Mac afficionados.
While the idea of a cordless Skype phone is nothing new, a cordless one that will work with a Mac is something worth sitting up and having a look at. Here are some specs …
- USB receiver plugs into USB port
- Phone uses 2.4Ghz radio wavelength
- One touch Skype activation
- LCD display shows battery level, signal quality and who is online from your contact list
Range looks decent, 300ft outdoors and up to 100ft indoors. Obviously this will fluctuate based on the your environment. On the downside, it looks like the VP-24A doesn’t come with a power adapter ($25), but it does come with a USB cable to charge while plugged into your computer.
All-in-all, the VP-24A is not a bad deal, especially if you’re a Mac user like me.
