IPEVO free-2 USB Skype Phone

IPEVO are busy! Having just launched the IPEVO Solo.1 and Trio handsets they followed up with a makeover for their popular corded phone, now called the free-2.

If you are familiar with the free-1 then you’ll feel right at home with the free-1, it has the same clean layout and slick design as it’s predecessor with a few added tricks. First of all IPEVO have added a small LCD screen that allows you to view your Skype contact list direct from the phone. This is a big plus as it makes the phone a lot more independent, even though it must remain connected to a computer via USB. The second addition to the free-2 is the record button, a feature that lets you easily record your Skype calls.

The free-2 will be available in February 07 for Mac OS X and Windows.

As with the Solo.1 and Trio, the free-2 has integrated echo cancellation that cleans up the call quality. If you’re looking for a cheap phone for occasional Skype calls then this $44.99 phone is well worth your time.
