iBasis, a VoIP provider, is busy busy. They just announced that SunRocket has interconnected [Yahoo!] with their global VoIP network for international calls. They are part of a list of 40 companies, including Skype and Yahoo!, that are interconnected with iBasis. On the other hand, iBasis is also undergoing a voluntary internal review [Biz Journals] of it’s historical stock option grants. They’ll be filing documents related to their merger with KPN Global Carrier Services (a subsidiary of KPN). The merger makes iBasis one of the “fifth largest international wholesale voice carriers” [Biz Journals] but also makes KPN the majority stock holder.
