Google Talk On Blackberries

Google Talk and Google Local will now be able to run on Blackberry devices. Google Local is available to download immediately from Google, while Google Talk for Blackberry will not be available until this spring.

Blackberry is in a tough fight with mobile telephone manufacturers such as Motorola, Nokia and Samsung who continue to diversify into smartphones capable of office tasks. This announcement signals Blackberry’s drive to outpace their rivals and form key relationships first. Google Local and Google Talk will both be free to download.

“As mobile technology continues to converge, consumers are becoming increasingly more connected and require access to information at home, at work, and on the road,” said Google’s product management director, Deep Nishar.
