Google / AOL VoIP Coming

The recent deal between Google and AOL includes an arrangement where Google Talk users will be able to talk directly with AIM users via a purely VoIP connection. Interestingly, a recent AOL survey found that 20% of their users would like to try making voice calls from within their IM client. A further 12% said that they would be interested in using an IM-based VoIP to completely replace their existing phone line at home.
