Free PDF Chapters From Wi-Fi Toys

Five of the 15 chapters fro the book Wi-Fi Toys, by Mike Outmesguine, are available in for free in PDF form at the Wi-Fi Toys site. The PDFs are at different websites, though, where they were republished or adapted. Some of the tips show you how to improve your cell phone signal strength. Others are for Wi-Fi signals. Either could come in handy for making VoIP calls, depending on your setup. Of course, there are several ways to improve your Wi-Fi signal – something that will come in handy as more people start using plain Wi-Fi phones or dual-mode Wi-Fi/ cellular phones. In fact, you can probably use the tips from the Wi-Fi Toys book to increase your reception of a nearby municipal Wi-Fi hotspot from your home. Haven’t tried this idea yet, but when I do, I’ll report on it.
