Free Browser-Based VoIP Virtual Phone
A casual browse through various VoIP websites will show you every type of VoIP client, service, and phone. But this one’s a first: a so called mobile VoIP phone called Busta that basically runs from a web browser. So it’s not really a phone per se, more like a virtual phone. It’s used by adding a widget to your Google, Netvibes or Microsoft Live home page. Thus, it’ll “follow” you around.
A brilliant idea. VoIP from a web browser. Now I don’t use any of the home pages that Busta currently supports, so I can’t tell how well it operates. But if they ever work from a blogging platform, I’ll probably install Busta on some select websites of my mine. For now, I’ll stick to some of my faves: Skype, or some alternatives such as Google Talk, Hullo, or Sightspeed.
