That&#8217;s what Comcast is doing Jan 1st, 2007, claiming that they&#8217;ve added advanced products and services. Granted, the 4% increase does not affect the rates on their high-speed Internet or digital voice (VoIP) services, but it&#8217;s a neat little manoeuvre since many of their subscribers to the latter services very likely have cable TV with Comcast as well. And if you don&#8217;t like the increased cost, you have to find replacements for all three services, which most people won&#8217;t do because of the inconvenience.
