Cardo Scala-700 VoIP Headset
There has been a whole raft of Skype-related announcements this week on account of CES. The latest is the Cardo Scala-700 VoIP headset, which is a bluetooth headset that connects with Skype running on your computer.
That doesn’t sound very exciting, but the Scala-700 has a trick up it’s sleeve, voice activation. With the Scala-700 you can initiate and receive calls by voice within a 10m radius of the computer. The headset also contains SWAP technology that lets the headset move easily between conversations help via VoIP and mobile.
You can pair the Scala-700 with up to 8 devices and it also comes with a buzz locator to help you find it if it ever should go missing.
For a RRP of ~$100, that’s not a bad feature set.

This unit does not yet function as a regular audio headset.
They should have called it Cardo Scala 700 Skype and not VOIP.
It works ok in Skype but I’d rather use it in X-Lite or IDEFISK
