California WiFi Guidance Law – Bill AB 2415

From 1st October 2007 any device capble of receiving a wireless signal will have to display a sticker notifying buyers. Reports indicate that these stickers can take the form of an actual sticker on the box or appear as part of an installation routine. The proposed law, currently awaiting approval and the signature from Arnie, will require a sticker to be placed on the product in such a manner that a consumer must remove it before using the product.

As part of the law, the WiFi warnings would have to contain guidance on how to secure your wireless network in an attempt to make business and home WiFi networks more secure.
