Brix Network Announces Enhancement to BrixCall

Brix Networks has announced the enhancement it has made on its BrixCall VoIP analysis and correlation application which enables it to support the Network-based Call Signaling protocol that is used in cable environments. It is mainly a solution for comprehensive visibility and passive monitoring of live VoIP traffic. Other than that the enhancement also enables the correlation of passive monitoring thresholds with active test results which aims at automating and streamlining troubleshooting as well as fault isolation.

This is a move by Brix to target its already existing market even more aggressively as U.S. subscribers are predicted to grow from 6.4 million to a whooping 25.5 million as 2010 approaches. The solution which Brix offers provide cable operators with the ability to guarantee the quality of service subscribers will expect from their VoIP services. Furthermore, market review from OSS Observer this month also reveals that service assurance solutions spending is predicted to reach $ 3 billion by 2011.
