You may have seen various VoIP mouse phone combos and thought the same thing I did: hygiene issues. Computer mice aren’t exactly clean, and I wouldn’t put a dual purpose mouse/ VoIP phone near my face. (And no, that’s not what you’d call a dual-mode phone.) But this is a little more interesting: a computer keyboard with an embedded VoIP handset built at one side. See Digital Inspiration for a pic of the keyboard phone.

It almost even has a retro feel to it. Sort of back to those days in the 70s and 80s, when you connected to a computer network using your phone in a special cradle, for the breakneck speed of 300 baud. The only drawback is that it’ll be awkward for left-handers. So if they don’t have a leftie version or you’d rather try a VoIP device that Batman might have in his toolbelt, he’d probably go for a Bluetooth earpiece like the Mvox Duo. I can almost envision his logo emblazoned on it.
