Accton VM1188T VoWi-Fi / VM1188T VoWi-Fi VoIP Phones

Taiwan’s Accton Technology are releasing a duo of new VoIP phones called the VM1185T WiFy SkyFone and the VM1188T VoWi-Fi.

The Accton VM1185T WiFy SkyFone will come with Skype pre-installed and built-in 802.11b/g WiFi for optimal performance. With integrated Skype support, users will be able to make free Skype-to-Skype VoIP calls. The Accton VM1188T VoWi-Fi does not come with Skype pre-installed and will sell at somewhere between $100 – 150.

Accton’s new VoIP phones will be available in Europe first, followed by a release in the USA shortly after. Recently there has been a spike in companies releasing Skype-compatible products, such as Logitech’s Skype-compatible headsets released at CES 2006.
