8×8 offering businesses free directory listing service

8×8 have announced a deal with LSSi that will see every business subscribing to their VoIP services being offered a free directory listing. This is relatively small move on the part of 8×8 but a welcome one nonetheless, you can bet that a business comparing VoIP providers will take notice.

This news follows on from a separate announcement made yesterday allowing residential subscribers to send faxes over IP, otherwise known as FoIP. The new Freedom Fax service from 8×8 gives subscribers 300 minutes of outgoing faxes and the ability to receive an unlimited number of faxes per month priced at $10 per month. There is an activation fee of $29.99, additional outgoing fax minutes for faxes going to US and Canada numbers can be purchased for $0.035 per minute while international faxes will be charged according to the 8×8 international price plan.
