7 VoIP Podcasts Worth Subscribing To

I love podcasts and subscribe to quite a few of them. They’re a great way to keep up to date with what’s happening in the VoIP sphere, just download them and stick them onto your iPod if you haven’t already.

So I decided to create a list for reference of the best VoIP podcasts available at this time. Surprisingly it was hard work. To be honest I was inspired by Dan York who posted a couple of podcasts he tunes into in the comments of Garrett Smith’s post on his top 30 VoIP blogs. I have included his recommended podcasts along with some other relevant to the topic of VoIP.

  • Blue Box Podcast – A great and very informative podcast from Dan York (Mitel) and Jonathon Zar (VOIPSA) on the topic of VoIP security.
  • Realtime VoIP – Ken Camp on VoIP news from around the web. Insightful, neutral and knowlegeable commentary.
  • Skype Podcast – Pretty obvious what this one is about.
  • Om and Niall Podsessions – The continuation of Om and Nialls joint podcasts previously on Gigaom. Not entirely on VoIP, also covers Web 2.0, emerging tech trends and convergence.
  • Telecom Junkies – Podcast on the telecoms industry that is not solely focussed on IP telephony, but does cover VoIP issues.
  • VoiceCon – Established podcast covering IP telephony.
  • Pulver Media – Podcast series covering VoIP and IP telephony. Canadian centric?

NB. I haven’t arranged this list in terms of any preference as each podcast covers a different niche within VoIP in general.
